Bert Willemsen

Bert Willemsen was born on November 22, 1973, in Haarlem and studied HaFaBra conduction with Jan Schut (Bachelor degree, 1997) and Classical Trombone with Jaap Dekker (teaching musician, 1999) at the conservatory of the Hogeschool Alkmaar.

In 2013, Bert received his Master’s degree in HaFaBra management at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Alex Schillings.
As a teacher, he is associated with music school Da Capo in Schagen.

He conducts the following bands: Muziekvereniging Winnubst in Den Helder (harmony), KLM orchestra (harmony), Harmoniecorps Tuindorp in Amsterdam, Fanfarecorps Erica in Austerlitz and works as trombonist, tubaist, guitarist and bass guitarist.
Bert has worked with several artists including: Henk Westbroek, Margriet Eshuijs, Cor Bakker, Frits Landesbergen, Guus Meeuwis, Petra Berger, Harry Slinger, Tony Neef, Jos Jansen, Jamai, Do, Belle Perez, Charly Luske, Anita Meyer, Pearl Joan , Ellen ten Damme, Brigitte Heitzer, Karin Bloemen and conducted various musical productions and CD recordings.

In addition to conducting and performing, Bert is also involved in arranging compositions for wind band and band, a number of which have been published by music publisher Bronsheim in IJsselstein and Molenaar Edition in Wormerveer.
